Hello dear world. My husband, Chris, who I love dearly, has lost my copy of CHOCOLATE AND ZUCCHINI. Now normally this would not matter that much, despite the fact that he lost it at the supermarket....

But the point of him being at the supermarket is that he purchased me three and a half pounds of beef, along with all the other ingredients needed to make the Beef Bourguignon recipe from the book. Which is substantially different from any other recipe for that online. And is not available online... and all the book stores are closed now....

And to wrap it up, I have three and a half pounds of beef, a bottle of red wine, and a desperate need for somebody who owns that book to tell me how to put the marinade together, so that I can let it soak overnight... and then go rebuy the book tomorrow morning.

Thank you in advance.

take a picture of yourself right now.
don't change your clothes, don't fix your hair...just take a picture.
post that picture with NO editing.
post these instructions with your picture.

And now you do the same...

Ok, let's try this again, except with LIVE dragon eggs. The other ones died due to too many page views, too fast, so I'm putting these behind a cut. Only open the cut if you want to click on them. Thank you. =)

Beware, Dragons, clicky only )

I completely and totally blame Elizabeth Bear for introducing me to this game. If you would be so kind as to click on my egg below, you can help it hatch. Thank you. =)

http://litsoup.blogspot.com/2008/03/babies-of-spring.html

It's my birthday too today, but this is really for one of my good friends from high school, who shares the same birthday as me. Happy Birthday, all you wonderful babies of spring who get to be born on the vernal equinox! =)

We rock. We seriously do.

And as for my birthday, it has been largely allergy-filled, and I have a large craving for mozzarella sticks. This may be assuaged later today, after the husband gets home from work.

Hello all! I'm making out my winter holiday cards today and tomorrow, so if you'd like one this year, please leave me your address in a screened comment. My one request is that you don't just ask for one, if I don't even know who you are. Thanks!

So, I've actually managed to FINISH a knitting project! As in, complete something, instead of starting endless projects and then never finish them. Well, actually, I have completed a swatch before, but never anything that looked like... ya know, an article of clothing. =)

What follows below are pictures of the baby hat that I knit for my friend Spencer's daughter, Adia. It's sized for six months, which is why it looks sort of big. The pictures come complete with Zoe modeling the hat! The hat was made with Lion Brand Velvetspun yarn, in Bluebell, on size 10.5 needles. I knit the entire thing myself, and then Chris helped me sew the seam closed, because I was having a great deal of trouble doing so because of the texture of the yarn.

As Jodi rightly pointed out, I have no thread available to leave birthday greetings on.

So, if you'd like to do so, here be one.

Yes, I'm an old hag, Jamie and Peihan. =)

As some of you may notice, while trying to browse my back entries, I have changed a lot of the privacy settings on my journal. Some things that were previously public or friends only have gone to private, for various reasons. Sorry if this gives everyone less to read.

Eleven libraries piping
Ten gamefaqs a-leaping
Nine dolphins cooking
Eight museums a-running

Five la-a-a-abrador retrievers
Four video games
Three powerpuff girls
Two puzzle pirates
...and a travel in a zoology.
